Enabling E-learning

HomePartnershipAbout usContact us

In introducing an e-learning strategy, as a teacher your prime concern will be creating a sustainable CLE for all involved.

Although ICT is a key element in delivering the learning experience you should not loose sight of the fact that it is just one element in the project.

As with any large project it is important that it is broken down into manageable stages. An e-learning strategy also embraces a number of other key areas namely Project Management, Technical, and Legal, Tax and Financial.

Effectively  managing these interconnecting and mutually related issues, will add up to a sustainable  project so it makes sense to work with an organisation that has experience of managing successful projects.

It is important that the pupils, staff, governors, and significantly, the parents all have a shared vision of what will constitute a successful e-learning strategy.

Some of the  important issues to address from the outset include:-

n Existing staff skills and professional development
n What kind of hardware to buy
n E-learning content and methodology of delivery
n Infrastructure and Connectivity
n Technical support
n Insurance of equipment
n Warranty and repair of equipment
n Funding and Sustainability

Apart from the e-learning content there are however a host of other issues to address; issues that are likely to be outside of your professional environment.

It does, therefore, make sense to choose a partner to work with for the delivery of your strategy. A partner that will not only share the vision but also support you in its delivery.

strategic partner that will understand all of the issues, not just the technical issues  but also the Tax and Financial ones.
